Why My Perfect System Was Killing My Progress

Routines are powerful. Systems work.

But here’s the trap I fell into: if I’m always in the loop, I can’t see the loop.

Every system needs breakpoints.

I need moments to step outside execution mode and ask: “Is this still working?”

I schedule reflection time. But more importantly, I’m learning to notice when something feels off mid-execution. I jot down a quick note and keep going—just capture the seed for later reflection.

The best systems aren’t perfect from day one. They’re systems that evolve.

My breakpoint is where evolution happens.
