Society has a way of making effort look uncool.
“Don’t try too hard” became my default advice. “Just be natural” sounded better than “work your ass off.”
This was poison for me.
The people I see actually achieving things? They try hard. They care deeply. They put in the work when nobody’s watching.
The “cool” kids who never try? They’re still stuck in the same place five years later.
Here’s what I realized: trying hard isn’t uncool. Not trying hard is.
I need to stop buying into narratives designed to keep me mediocre.
My future self will thank me for ignoring the noise and doing the work.
